Artist's Statement

My inspirations are grounded in love of the natural world and in particular love of flowers, butterflies, trees and creatures.  I am a firm believer that art should be something that is part of our everyday lives and this leads me to create both functional and stand alone art pieces. I approach my work with a painterly style and use a wealth of materials and multiple firings in my kilns to achieve depth and dimension.

One of my favorite ways to create is to work with clients to design custom glass works that bring them joy to their homes and gardens. I strive to make my art available to a broad audience while bringing the sense of growth, color, and movement from the natural world to fused glass art.
